The Declaration of Youth Summit — 2006

We, participants of "The Youth Summit 2006: The Forming Global Responsibility", are citizens of 30 countries of the world (Russia, The Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Canada, The United States of America, France, Japan, Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Belgium, Cameroon, China, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Hungary, Iran, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Peru, Poland, Serbia and Montenegro, South Korea, Tajikistan, Turkey, Vietnam).

We are representing 40 different universities and schools, political parties and non-governmental organizations, museums, research centers and other educational and academic establishments.

We met in Saint Petersburg to discuss the most important issues, correlated with G8 Group's activity, and to pronounce our propositions, calling on the leaders of G8 and other countries.

The "Youth G8" Forum is organized by the St Petersburg State University and State Complex "Palace of Congress" and is associated with the Russia's presidency of G8.

The Summit was held on 3-9th of April 2006 with the support of Russian President Administration, Russian Ministry of Education and Science, Council of Federation, St Petersburg Government and Legislative Assembly.

The members of the State Duma of Russian Federation, Saint-Petersburg Administration, Ministry of Science and Education, Ministry of Justice and the Civil Society Institutions and Human Rights Council under the President of the Russian Federation took part in commencement meeting and greeted all participants.

Countering development of ultraism among youth
Countering development of global pandemics and drug addiction among youth
Youth's problems demanding special attention of the leaders of the 'Group of Eight'
