The meeting of G9 Ministers of education will be held in Moscow


According to the press-service of the Ministry for science and education, the meeting of G8 education ministers will be held in Moscow in President-Hotel in June, 1-2.
The G8 countries will be presented by the following officials:
Andrei Fursenko – Minister of science and education – Russia
Joan Burk – Head of the Ministers of education – Canada
Diane Finkley – Minister of labor and social resources – Canada
Jiles de Robien – Minister of national and superior education – France
Annett Schavann – Federal Minister of education and research – Germany
Juseppe Fioroni – Minister of education – Italy
Haruko Arimura – Minister of education, science and culture – Japan
Bill Pammel – deputy minister of education – Great Britain
Margaret Spellings – Minister of Education – USA
Ian Figel – Member of European Commission, responsible for education and culture
Angel Gurria – Secretary General of Economic cooperation and development

It is supposed that Ministers of education from Brazil, India, Kazakhstan, China, Mexico, SAR, UNESCO and World Bank will participate in the meeting.

The participants will discuss the issues of education for innovational society, the accessibility of education, the forming system of permanent education, development of the UN program “Education for All”, the education systems for migrants.
